6 Month Check-Up
So Kelty had her 6-month check-up finally today after rescheduling a couple of times. Dr. Odell says she is very healthy.
Here's her official stats:
Weight 18 lbs
Height 27.5 inches
She is 98% of the ideal for what she should weigh for her height. Dr. Odell said she is a little skinny. Which makes sense because when I was little my Grandpa Russell referred to me as "Chicken Legs". I was a bean pole as some would say.
Kelty is 80% of the average for weight and her age. She is 89% in height. Most babies her age weigh about 16 lbs.
I am so glad that she is healthy, besides her minor cold, not overweight, and tall. I think we have a little athlete. Daddy says she's his football player! haha

Kelty discovers FOOD

So Kelty isn't quite sure about eating her baby food. As I am sure most babies with the exception of Bryken (that kid loves food) tend to feel similar.
However, whenever Matt & I have something she wants it. Here's what I caught Matt & Kelty in the act of last Friday. I am not sure she should have big people food yet, but I just laughed and took pictures.
She was so funny, she would look at Daddy to see how he would eat the string cheese and then she would copy him.
We have discovered that Kelty likes:
- String Cheese obviously
- Focaccia Bread (like garlic bread sticks)
- Vanilla Cookies
- Root bear, she's not real crazy about Sprite
- her baby carrots
- Gogurt
- Applesauce
- pears
- and her baby cheerio things.
And she loves steeling your cup so you have to drink really fast, but she is really good about drinking if you only leave a drop in the cup for her.

So Big!!!
For Christmas we gave Kelty her first Pony (it's a rocking horse) and she just loves it so much. She is going to love riding as much as I do. It talks, whinnies, and gallops. It's so cute, especially when she gives him kisses. And we got her her first pretty Sunday dress. She is just such a little doll. I love playing dress up with her.
On New Years Day we went sledding with the Thomas siblings, (Matt, Becky, Abbie & Kolton, Elsie, & Houston) and it was so much fun. I was to busy sledding and driving the truck to take pics, but Becky got video. We were the first ones out on the road after the huge storm hit so we literally plowed the road with our bodies. Thank goodness for Larry & Wendy's big truck or would have gotten extremely stuck. After we got home though, my hand that I broke when I was little really started hurting. I thought it was just from the cold, but it's been hurting for 2 weeks. So I went to the doctor and got X-rays, I will get the results sometime tomorrow. They think I might have RA (rheumatoid arthritis) so I am freaking out. Young adults aren't supposed to get arthritis. Are you kidding me? I guess people (mostly women) get this type between 25 & 50. So whatever just make the pain go away. It even hurts to open/close Kelty's bottle and do little things like that. It hurts to play with Kelty and pick her up, but we push forward and I play with her anyways.
