Halloween 2010

So this year I did not have my camera for Halloween. But I got this picture of Kelty off of my sister's blog. It was really hard to get the kids to stand together for a picture. This year Kelty was a bumble bee. You can see her in the corner. I put black make-up under her eyes to cover up the fact that she had an actual black eye. Bryken was a cute little honey pot and Tucker was the most handsome cowboy you've ever seen. Alexis and I took the kids Trunker Treating at the church while mom handed out candy. Then we all piled in Lexi's car and went to do the traditional Trick or Treat. We decided that next year we will need more assistance because we will both have a new baby. We went to quite a few homes and the kids loved it. Our favorite was Rhonda Neal's house. She goes all out every year. They even had chili and apple cider.

Thanksgiving Weekend

The Holidays are finally here! YAY! I finally got my Thanksgiving dinner! This baby has been making me crave Thanksgiving dinner for months. For dinner this year Matt's family and Alexis with her boys came over to my house. It was sooo much fun. On Friday morning about 2:30 a.m. two of my really good friends came over to watch the kiddos (or snooze with them I should say, since Matt & Brad both had to work) so that Alexis and I could go SHOPPING! lol it was cold and boy did our bodies ache. We took hot cocoa with us in a Thermos thinking it would keep us warm. First we went to Kohl's and waited in line for 15 minutes. They opened at 3 a.m. Kohl's was really quick this year. We went and grabbed most of our stuff and then Alexis went to stand in line. Since I am still a little bit more mobile than she is (she only has 12 weeks until she has her baby) I ran around and got the rest of the stuff. Usually we stand in line forever there waiting to check out. This year we were out by 3:45 a.m. Then we went over to K-mart and waited for them to open at 5 a.m. Alexis and I took 15 minute shifts of standing in line. At about 4 a.m. we ran out of hot cocoa so Alexis Googled on her phone to see what time Starbucks opened. They said 4:30! Hallelujah!! So I ran over and got us more hot cocoa. We found everything we needed in K-mart and then waited in line for an hour and a half. Then the cashier messed up and charged me to much so I had to go over to Customer Service. We saved a lot of money and really enjoyed the bonding time. I think I am about caught back up on my sleep.

After shopping we went back to my house and packed our bags to go to the Winder Christmas Party in Price. It was a lot of fun this year. It is so strange not having Tracy and Bompa there physically with us. I just wanted to cry, watching the big UTAH/BYU game without Bompa was painful. I was so excited whenever Kelty would see a picture of Bompa she would tell me "Bopa" and it touches my heart so much. I know she knows him and got to know all the things I wanted her to learn from him. My family tells me that Kelty looks like Tracy's little girl Italia who we don't get to see. My Aunt Ellie is going through a custody battle with Tally's mom to try and get visitation. I have been able to see the resemblance with Tally and Kelty for awhile, it's just now that everyone else is starting to. Sometimes Kelty will give me a look that looks just like Tally and it makes me think of her and miss Tracy so much more. Kelty can also point out Tracy in pictures and she started doing it before I ever told her. She will pick Bompa and Tracy out of a picture before anyone else. She knows that they are our angels and they are in heaven to watch over and protect us.

7 Years

I can't believe Matt & I started dating seven years ago. October 15 was the seven year marker. I can't believe it's been that long. WOW!!! I am so grateful for the amazing man I married. He is such an amazing daddy, husband, and best friend. I couldn't ask for more. Hun you are more of a man than I ever imagined I could find in this world. You are the answer to my prayers and you keep me strong. When I am scared about what the future holds, you are so confident in us and our abilities to make it work. I am excited to take on this new adventure and see what the future brings us.

Where did my baby girl go?

My sweet baby is no longer a baby, some would say she's a toddler. I say she's a big girl. She loves to do things by herself. like mowing the lawn.
She tries to get dressed/undressed, put her shoes on, gets in her car seat without help, and she found Nana's potty chair. Kelty loves to flush the toilet, close the toilet, open close all the doors in the house (including the garage). Kelty is doing so much that I can't even think of everything right now. I am so proud of my big girl.
For Halloween I got her butterfly wings so she can be a butterfly, she loves running around the house with her wings on. I am going to be a "Love Bug" (ladybug), we are still trying to convince Matt to dress up, he needs to beat his costume from last year.
Kelty says: Nana, Mama, Dada (which pretty much means everything), she say Ruby, and I think she's trying to say "Thanks". For awhile she has been able to say "shish" meaning fish and waves her arm like fish swimming. She had been saying "bah" for a sheep and most other animals, she would bark like a puppy, but ever since we came back from Island Park and Matt showed her a picture of a bear everything is "Roar".
Kelty is such a good eater! She eats everything. The doctor says everything is perfect, so keep doing whatever I am doing.
She still LOVES to dance. Once you start dancing with her, she won't let you stop.
When I think of more things my little one is doing I will do a new post, but for now tata.

Island Park 2010

Quake Lake
It's on the way to Virginia City. It's really eerie. Look it up.

Riding the Train
This year we went and stayed in the Island Park Cabin with Matt's family. On Saturday morning we got up and cooked everyone breakfast and the we all headed to West Yellowstone to watch the IMAX movie "Yellowstone". Kelty and Abbie loved the movie! I think Kolton liked it too but he didn't seem as excited as the girls.
After the movie we all split up and went to do what we wanted. Matt decided he wanted to go to the Old West towns Nevada & Virginia City. So we took Houston and Kelty to see what life was like in 1863.

Kelty in her cute pink camo outfit. This is Kelty listening to old Musical Circus thing. It is really loud and she loved it. You should have seen her dancing around.
Double Story Outhouse at the Hotel
An outhouse (or maybe a shed) that looked like it could fall over at any second. Houston was trying to encourage it and Matt was trying to save the little outhouse.
This is an old piece of gold mining equipment.
Our Ride
Matt found this sign and thought it was perfect.

(one of) My Hero(s)

Long hours in the sun had weathered his face and wrinkled his brow
His hands were calloused and scared, from too many hours behind a plow
The old hat he always wore was tattered and torn
His clothes were clean, but faded and worn
It was plain to all who knew him that his education was elementary
But he lived his life by a code of honor, and all thought him exemplary
As we gathered at supper time and sat face to face
Though the meal might be meager, he never failed to say grace
His smile warmed my heart and his gentle voice touched my soul
In his presence I had riches far greater than gold
He taught me to live by the golden rule and treat others with respect
Pray to God above and attend church without neglect
He paid his debts, even though money was tight
I know he had to sacrifice, but he said it was only right
His car was old and needed constant repair
But he was thankful for it, and did not despair
Money was scarce, and to accept charity was a crime
But he always managed to have something in our stockings at Christmas time
He taught me how to fish and even bait a hook
Many things I learned from him I could never get from a book
As the world looks upon this man that lived a simple life in his span
They see nothing great, and say he was just a common man
But when I look back on this life, my heart is made glad
This man is my hero, and I am honored to call him my Bompa!

When Tomorrow Starts

by Michael D. Miller

When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you
And each time you think of me
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
And so much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible
That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the love we've shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
I thought, for just a while,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized
That this could never be
For emptiness and memories
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things
That I'd miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
So when tomorrow starts without me
Don't think were far apart...
For everytime you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart!

Sweet Ruby

RUBY
We got her on 8/20/2010
12 weeks old
Under two pounds!!!
Miniature Doverman Pinscher
Yep we got a puppy. Haha, I don't have my memory stick so this is the best picture you will get for now. Not like anyone reads this thing anyways.

Her name is Ruby! She is such a sweet girl. She has TONZ of energy, her and Kelty wear each other out. I swear if I survive these two...I am going to be a SUPER HERO! Kelty figured out how to let Ruby out of her kennel today. I totally did not have time to chase her around to get her back in. Last night I got home and found that Kelty emptied out her dresser drawers, and she has learned to climb on the table. So Kelty dumped out the bag of chips that was sitting on the table!

Kelty knows she is not supposed to feed Ruby "people" food, and just because she's a little sneak, she does it and we get after them they both run in different directions. They know we can only chase one of them at a time. It's pretty cute and funny, but I am going crazy.

I gave in...

So I finally gave in and bought a new SD Card and some batteries. I was missing out on to much of this fun stage with Kelty. With the 4th of July weekend I knew there would be a lot of moments I needed a camera.
We took a little moment to pose for a picture before the eventful Malad Parade!
the yearly waterfight with the BLM - except this year everyone but me chickened out!!!
